I just looked out the window of the shop and I can't believe it--it's
raining!!! Yeah!! We have needed rain so badly. I'm sure the farmers are
dancing in their fields. I hope it is more than just a little shower. We
need a week of steady rain.
I'm so excited; I got an email from a
cousin that I haven't seen, talked to,
or heard from since high school. We
were really close when we were small.
He isn't very good with computer
stuff, so he is going to call me soon. It
makes me sad to think that you
look up and so many years have gone by, and
so many people have passed
through your life that you have lost contact
with. I've been so blessed
with friends over the years. I wish I could
have a big reunion of all those
folks that have touched my life.
It's almost the weekend. What is
everyone going to do? I hope I can get
to work on some of the samples for
the store. I'm going to invite my
daughter, her husband and Riley, my 2
year old granddaughter, for hamburgers
and hotdogs Friday evening. I really
thought about just inviting Riley, but
thought it would be rude not to
invite the parents too. LOL My other
daughter and her fiance will be there
also. It should be fun and tiring.
Riley is so full of life and wears me
out!! Saturday we have a birthday
dinner for my father-in-law. I think he
is 73. Of course, Sunday is church.
I guess I probably ought to try to do
all the other stuff such as laundry,
errands and such. I guess that takes
my weekend.
I take pictures, but I'm so bad about leaving them on my
camera. I think I
still have film that needs to be developed too. Anyway,
I wanted to share a
photo of my friend Joy, who owns A Joyful Soul Fabric.
She carries strictly
Amy Butler fabric and patterns. She vends and has an
e-commerce store only.
She is a great lady, and I wanted to share the photo
of her in her booth at
the Dallas Quilt Show in March.
