Wedding & Stuff

My daughter's wedding is finally over!! It was beautiful, but not traditional. She wanted everything to be unique. When she told me she wanted orange and teal for her colors, I had to try very hard to keep my opinions to myself. I must say that it was beautiful. Her attendants wore short bright orange dresses each one wore a different style. The guys wore khaki pants, while button down shirts, and teal ties. Nick (the groom) wore an orange tie. She carried orange roses, tiger lillies and gerber daisies. The attendants carried white and orange gerbers, lillies and greenery. She didn't use traditional wedding music either. When the pictures are completed, I'll give you all the web site to view them. Right now her bridal portraits are on the site--if you are interested go to www.paulalovelacephotography.com click the screen, then there will be a page with tabs at the bottom, click client proofs, and then type laurabridals in the password. You will then be able to view her photos. The photographers were great!! They took so many photos. I can't wait to see them. We had a candy bar at the reception that was very colorful and her cake was very nontraditional with polka dots and stripes in orange and teal. I loved the cake, besides the fact that it was pretty, it tasted great too. Kathy's Bakery in Iowa Park did the cake and the fruit for us. She does the best cakes. Let me know what you think of the pictures.
Now it is time to get back to the task of quilting, etc. Sat. Aug. 1 is our One Year Anniversary Sale. We will be debuting our Christmas fabric and have lots great sale items. Stop in on Saturday from 9-4 and get in the Christmas spirit.
