Long Time
It sure seems like a long time since I've talked to everyone. I just run out of hours in my day. We participated in the Waco One Stop Shop Hop and vended at the Wichita Mountain Quilt Guild's quilt show two weekends ago in Lawton, OK. The Dallas Quilt Show is coming up March 8-10. If you going to be attending that show, stop in our booth and say hello.

MARKET BAG CLASS
This class was so popular that we added one more class for Saturday, March 2nd. The class is $10 + kit.
We are having so much fun with our market bags, and everyone is loving them. The clerks at the grocery store always make such a fuss over mine. I keep about seven of them in my car so I have them when I need them. I've carried three 2 liter bottles in them without any problem. They are sturdy and hold more than plastic or paper. As an added bonus, we are being green.
We have all of our kits on the website now, along with a picture of each one. Now you can see each one up close. Click here and scroll half way down the page.
We have also added more pillowcase kits. We now have realistic trains, ladybugs, robots, baseball, basketball and volleyball.
Remember our Days of Yore pillowcase kits, we now have a large lap quilt kit to go with it. It turned out so cute. We have already sold quite a few, and these will not last long.
I've never been really impressed with all of the rotary cutter blade sharpeners on the market, but we got in a new one; and it works really well. We are offering to sharpen up to two blades for you on March 16 from 10-3. Make sure you bring them in a container for safety purposes.
We have a special just for you internet folks. We got in three bolts of PUL. This is a water resistant knit type fabric that is 60" wide. It is mostly used for baby items such as bibs, diaper covers. diaper bags, etc. I thought it would be neat to make an i-pad or e-reader cover out of it. This usually runs $14 or $15.95 a yard. We have in on special for $9.99 a yard. We have mod flowers, cupcakes and solid browns. It is at the top of our sale page.
If you like to read, I want to share a good book with you. I like all sorts of books, and I like to read just before I go to sleep because it helps clear my mind and relaxes me. I like mysteries and Christian novels. If you are familiar with Wanda Brunstetter, and like her books you will like the one I'm reading now. Her books are based upon the Amish culture. What does this have to do with quilting, you ask. The book I'm in the middle of now is called, The Half-Stitched Amish Quilt Club. It is about a widowed Amish lady who decides to teach quilting classes to help make ends meet. The group of folks that signed up for classes are a unique and diverse group of people. I'm about half way done, but there are several photos of actual Amish quilts as well as a quilt pattern. If this isn't you cup of tea, then maybe this might be.....
I just read that belly fat isn't all bad. It has been discovered that a fatty membrane that covers most abdominal organs plays an important role in regulating the immune system and regenerating damaged body tissues. That sounds like a good enough reason to keep my belly. What about you? LOL
Till next time...
Happy Stitching
