MYSTERY QUILT
Time is running out for sign-up for our Mystery Quilt. It will start September 1, and go only four months. The fabric is gorgeous, and I know you won't be disappointed. I have it on display in the shop, and have already had people wanting to purchase it, but this is reserved just for those signing up for this special program. There is a sign-up fee of $20 and then it will be $18.95 for four months. Here is one of the fabrics. I'm really hesitant to show this, because I don't think the picture does the fabric justice at all. It is a beautiful gray, which now is the latest color trend. It is going to be really pretty. We have limited spaces, and already have sign-ups; so if you are interested you need to sign-up now to get your spot. This is a lap size quilt, 54" x 70".
NEW STUFF
Hopefully you won't be angry at me for mentioning this, but Christmas will be here before we know it. I will be showing you our Christmas line, as soon as we get our sample back from the quilter. You will love it! Also, I have a few ideas for gifts. The Mondo Bag is a winner along with its' sister the Midi Bag or the Itty Bitty Bag. We have been having problems getting the interfacing for the Midi Bag (it is so popular), but I've been assured that it will be here very soon. We have lots of mini charm packs to pick from and more on the way.

CHARM PACKS
I was able to get my hands on some charm packs of lines of fabric that won't be out until September or October. I was only able to get a few each of 6 different lines. These are not on the website yet, and if you are interested in these you better hurry in to get these.
We recently got in the new Texas Lone Star State fabric (click and scroll down). This line is a real winner, and so far everyone likes it. If you are a collector of western/Texas fabric this fabric will not last long.
Dressed Alike Apron
Here is one of the latest patterns from Indygo Junction called Dressed Alike Apron. It includes patterns for Ladies size S, M, L, and XL; Children: S (3-5), M (6-8) and L (10); and Doll Size 18". This apron provides lots of coverage to protect you from splatters and spills and ties on each size eliminating binding around the neck. We did our shop sample in fabric from AdornIt.
Magic Trip Around the World
Here is a pattern that is so easy and gorgeous, Magic Trip Around the World. The picture doesn't do it justice, because the blues are gorgeous, soft blues and yellows. The pattern has sizes from crib to king. We have kits in the Throw/Lap and Queen Size. If you wish for another size kit, just let us know.
Quilt Across Texas
The third Quilt Across Texas is coming up in September. Check out our home page for information about the regions, shops, hours, fabrics and of course prizes.
CLASS
We have had overwhelming response for our Tropical Fruit Class. This shows a very easy way to make pineapple blocks. We have added one more class for Saturday, August 31st. If you are interested sign up asap. Remember payment guarantees your spot and our space is limited.
Today's Tidbits
A new study involving 1,000 adults ages 20 to 85 found that regular chocolate eaters were actually thinner than those who ate it only accasionally. And, reports the Archives of Internal Medicine, this was true even though the chocolate easters did not eat fewer calories (they ate more) and didn't exercise more. One theory: Chocolate's caffeine may rev metabolism. Do you think this sounds like a good enough excuse to eat chocolate?
Till next time,
