Are You Ready For a Couple of Fun Events?

We have a lot going on in the next month.  Get out your calendar and write these down.  We have never had a Halloween Event; I guess because it usually seemed to fall at the same time as Houston Quilt Market.  Well, I noticed that this year Market was before Halloween, so I thought let's do something fun.  We will have treats with specials attached to them, giveaways and lots of photos of everyone dressed up.  We will even have the dress up items here for you.  You don't have to do anything but show up. 



Next is our Christmas Kick Off Event, Reindeer Dash.  This is a two day Shop Hop/Scavenger Hunt.  It will involve six shops, a scavenger hunt, door prizes, demos at each shop, and I'll bet there will even be some Christmas cookies.

I wanted to share several of our latest samples.  We love Kimberbell patterns.  She has some of the cutest ideas.  She has a whole series of Bench Pillows that are seasonal.  Lisa has completed the Winter Whimsey.  Aren't these snowmen and penguin cute?  These bench pillows are 16" x 38".  Make one pillow and then just change the covers for each season.


Of course since we are having a Halloween bash, we had to do one of the Halloween pillows.  This is 13.5" x 16.5" pillow called Too Fa-BOO-Lous. 


We even have the spider buttons.  (The website photo shows 3 on a card, but these are sold individually.)

NEW Pillowcase Kits:

I love pillowcases because they make fast great gifts.  We have a cute one for the dinosaur loving child, and we have a cute kitty one for that young lady that loves pink.




We have gotten in a lot of new patterns and books. Stop in, relax and browse.  We have something new everywhere.  In case you didn't know, we now are longarming.  If you have some quilt tops that need quilting, bring them by and let us quilt them for you.

Today's Tidbits:
Did you know that you only need 9 products to clean your house?  They are:

1.  White Vinegar
2.  Borax
3.  Washing Soda
4.  Castile Soap-Liquid and Bar
5.  Baking Soda
6.  Lemon Juice
7.  Dr. Bonner's All-In-One Liquid Soap
8.  Essential Oils- i.e. Lavender & Peppermint
9.  Hydrogen Peroxide

Most of these I have heard of.  I'm not sure what the Washing Soda or Dr. Bonner's All-In-One Liquid Soap is.  Anyway, here is one cleaning recipe you might be interested in:

Windows:

• 1 cup vinegar
• 2 teaspoons liquid castile soap
• small dash of borax
• 1/2 cup water
