We Are Overwhelmed With New Stuff
I'm not sure stuff is the word to use to describe all our new products, but I can assure you that it is GOOD stuff.
I wanted to send you info on the following before I leave for vacation:
1. Christmas in August Event
2. Sale Items
3. New "Stuff"
4. I-Pad Apps
Mark your calendars for our Christmas in August Event. It will be Saturday, August 6th. We only get one line of Christmas fabric and I know you won't be disappointed. We have the coordinating book and a pattern that should help you get inspired for all those Christmas projects. It is a secret, so you will need to come in on the 6th. to see it.
The latest book that has come out for use with the Twister and 'Lil Twister tools is Let's Twist Again. I'm sure we will be seeing more and more patterns to use with these tools, as we have had trouble keeping them in stock. Here is our latest quilt we made with the Twister Tool.
Here is the latest What Cancer Cannot Do Quilt in Reds/Blues/Brown. We still have a few kits in the Red/Pinks/Brown as well.
I absolutely love this fabric--Stonehenge by Northcott Fabrics. I love not only the rich colors, but the quality. We choose these fabrics for the County Line pattern, and was pleasantly surprised at how nice our sample came out. We made it in a lap/throw size, but we have it kitted in the twin size. Unfortunately, I think I am challenged when it comes to photography. I did the best I can, but I really think that the fluroscent lighting has something to do with it.
The Wonder Clips arrived yesterday. These are great alternatives to pins when binding or working with tote or handbags, and heavy weight fabrics. The base of the clip is flat for feeding your fabric through your sewing machine. They also have markings of 1/4", 1/2", 3/16" and 3/8". They come in packages of 10 ct. and also packages of 50 ct.
After I come back from vacation, I'll update you on a number of other new items. Speaking of vacation, email me some pics of places that you have been this summer info@theenchantedquilt.com and I'd love to share them on our customer picture gallery. I'm leaving for vacation next week, and I'll try to get some pictures posted to facebook. Go to The Enchanted Quilt's facebook page, and become a fan.
If you have an I-Pad or I-Phone, here are a couple of quilting related apps. One is from Robert Kauffman Fabrics. It is caled Quilting Calc. It calculates amounts of backing and batting, binding, quarter square triangles, half square triangles, borders, etc. I haven't really used it much, but looks like fun. The other app is BlockFab-HD. The app calculates amounts of fabric for quilt blocks. You can layout your blocks with number across and down as well as choose the color pallette. This enables you to see what your quilt would look like. This one is only for the i-Pad, but both of these apps are free. There are other apps that I want to investigate, and as I find them I'll share that info.
Have a great summer.
