A cold front came through.  I'm more of a summer type of person, but it does help get you in the mood for the holidays.  I can't believe we are talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas again.  The year has gone by so quickly.

  Each shop in Region 1 gave away a quilt.  Our shop's winner was Cynthia Armstrong from Clyde, Texas.  We also gave away a bundle of items that contained a 'Lil Twister tool, a fat eighth bundle, charm pack and layer cake of the Hoopla line from Moda.  The winner of this $100 bundle was Barbara Walts from Corpus Christi.  Congratulations to both ladies.  For a list of all the winners of all of prizes check the Quilt Across Texas website.   It should be posted very soon.  If you didn't participate this year, the details are being worked on for next years hop.  An event of this size takes a lot of planning.

We have gotten quite a bit of new merchandise in since September.  Here are just a few items.



These are the two newest Cuddle Quilt Strip Kits.  They make into a large 60" x 72" quilt that are quilt as you go.  The pictures do not do these quilts justice.  The raspberry/chocolate one has little owls on one of the prints.  The other one is a watermelon/topaz combo.  We also have the 2.5 Yd. backing/binding to go with these.  This fabric is the softest and cuddliest stuff.

The Ella bag is a sweet handbag that measures 15" wide x 10" tall x 5" deep.  She has two deep outside pockets and more inside that you can customize to hold your valuables.

Mark your calendar for December 1st. for our annual Christmas party.  It will be here at the store from 6-8 pm.  We always have a great time, so don't forget and bring one of your favorite snacks items as well as the recipe to share.  We will have a receipe exchange.  Everyone loves to get new recipes.

I just got back from Market, however I didn't stay long because I was sick; but I did manage to find several new bag patterns.  They are on order and should be here shortly.  We'll show you these soon.

HELPFUL HINT:  Everyone seems to be enjoying these helpful hints.  Remember I haven't tried most of these, I'm just the information provider.  I'll let you folks try it and let me know how they work.  These are cleaning hints for your car.

Put a sheet of fabric softener underneath each seat in the car to make it smell nice.  For bad odors, put some new ground up coffee beans in area where odor is, leave for a couple of days, and vaccuum.  Use a pet stain cleaner to remove nasty odors from your car's carpet.  In the winter time, spray your car's door gaskets with PAM to keep them from freezing shut.  You can also spray your grill and hood before going on a trip to keep bugs and stuff from sticking to your car.  You can wash it off with shampoo and some warm water.
